The story behind the sound

Clif Norrell has been part of the creative production team on some of the greatest albums of the last 30 years, including  R.E.M.’s “Automatic For The People”, Jeff Buckley’s “Grace”, Weezer’s “Pinkerton”, Bruce Springsteen’s “Wrecking Ball”, Faith No More’s “King For a Day”, to name just a few.   Clif has also creatively helped artists as diverse and talented as Sting, Mick Jagger, Henry Rollins, Selena Gomez, and Shania Twain make the music they envision.  Most of the time, Clif is producing, engineering, or mixing the music, but he often also contributes his talent as a multi-instrumentalist and singer.   Clif has composed and performed music for several TV shows, extreme sports videos, and advertisements, including a song for a TV commercial for McDonalds Japan which became the #1 downloaded ringtone in the country during the campaign.   Clif continues to create new channels of creativity and recently co-wrote and performed with Johnny Lloyd, the primary singer/songwriter from the critically acclaimed band Tribes, who Clif also worked with as album engineer and mixer.
