Eddie Island

Crafting music for Film, TV & Advertising

From bedroom troubadour to American Idol alumnus, Eddie makes connecting with millions look easy.

The story behind the sound

Making performing before millions look effortless, Eddie Island’s ascent from bedroom troubadour to American Idol alumnus is testament to a combination of soaring talent and hard work. Hailing from Fairfax, Virginia, Eddie taught himself guitar from a young age, and soon began writing punchy folk ballads, which he performed live under the moniker Lindenbrook. After high school, he relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, where he formed the group Paid Vacay with local guitarist Patrick Gleeson, quickly securing local radio play and an array of festival bookings. However, it was his top 14 finish in season 17 of American Idol that truly catapulted the singer-songwriter to another level of stardom, a position he is set to capitalise on with his first release for Audio Network. Offering an array of heartfelt songwriting and vivid arrangements, Folkstar is proof that the most exciting chapter of Eddie’s career has only just begun.
