Grace Davidson

Crafting music for Film, TV & Advertising

English soprano famed for projecting vivid contrasts of mood with near-divine ease.

The story behind the sound

Light, bright, agile, pure: these are the words that immediately spring to mind upon hearing Grace Davidson sing. Having set the foundations for her career as a scholarship student at London's Royal Academy of Music, Grace is now one of the UK’s leading sopranos. She is famed for her interpretations of the Baroque repertoire – most notably works by Monteverdi, J.S. Bach, Handel and Vivaldi – and her ability to project vivid contrasts of mood with near-divine ease. Equally, Grace’s purity of tone continues to entrance the world’s greatest living composers. She has proven a spine-tingling soloist for Eric Whitacre, Ola Gjielo, John Rutter, Joe Hisaishi, Harry Gregson-Williams, Howard Shore for The Lord of the Rings Symphony and Max Richter, who chose her as the solo voice for his contemporary classical opus Sleep.
