The story behind the sound
Jeffrey Emerson Gaiser is a Los Angeles-based composer for trailers, video games, film and television. At the age of five, Jeffrey learned to play the piano by ear as a means of writing original music, before formally studying composition, violin and piano at the Cleveland Institute of Music’s preparatory school. He later attended Berklee College of Music, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in film scoring. Inspired by both classic film music and modern production techniques, he is known for creating music with a strong sonic and motivic identity that uniquely blends live instruments and orchestras with synth and sound design. His work has been featured in trailers for The Mandalorian, The Last of Us, The Diplomat, Bring Her Back and Palm Royale, along with regular placements in Google, Apple, and Netflix campaigns. Gaiser also composed music for Exoborne, Star Wars: Hunters, Onmyoji and numerous seasons of Call of Duty: Mobile. In addition to writing for visual media, Jeffrey enjoys composing, orchestrating and conducting live concert music. From Stravinsky Hall, Severance Hall and the Hollywood Bowl to the silver screen, Jeffrey’s music continues to impact audiences around the globe.
