Modern Slavery Statement
At Audio Network, we recognize that modern slavery is a grave violation of human rights that affects millions of individuals worldwide. As a responsible organization, we are committed to combating modern slavery in all of its forms within our operations and supply chains.
Our commitment is rooted in our core values, which prioritize integrity, respect and transparency. We are dedicated to fostering an environment where human dignity is upheld, and we will continually assess and enhance our practices to ensure that no form of slavery or human trafficking is present in our organization.
In this statement, we outline our policies, procedures, and actions taken to address and prevent modern slavery, demonstrating our unwavering dedication to this cause.
Organizational Structure
Audio Network Limited is based in London, United Kingdom with offices worldwide, in countries like France, Germany, Japan, Australia, etc. We are a part of the SESAC Music Group of companies, with its main office in the United States. Together, we employ over 600 employees globally and operate across various countries.
Our business
Audio Network Limited is a global music company creating original, high-quality music for use in TV, film, and advertising, and for user generated content across digital and social platforms. In this instance, the supply chain is generally characterized by direct relationships with songwriters, composers, producers, and publishers, which significantly reduces the risk of modern slavery.
As the focus of the recorded music industry has shifted to digital forms of distribution, our supply of physical goods has also dramatically reduced. As such, Audio Network Limited considers the overall risk of modern slavery and human trafficking within our supply chains to be low.
Our policies on slavery and human trafficking
Our Corporate Social Responsibility Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically, and with integrity in all of our business relationships, while also highlighting the importance of fair labour practices.
One of Audio Network’s main goals is to foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting employee wellbeing and their professional development. We strive to achieve this by ensuring fair wages and safe working conditions for employees, supporting diversity and inclusion within the workforce, and providing training and skill development programmes.
Due Diligence processes
We recognize that due diligence is crucial, as it helps identify potential risks and verifies the credibility of individuals and entities. A key component of our process is conducting background checks for suppliers deemed higher risk.
We partner with a leading service provider in the global due diligence market to perform background checks. These background checks include thorough research on the subject’s background, and assigned ratings on integrity risk, operational and quality risks, data and cyber risks, financial risks, identity risks, environmental, social and governance risks, territorial risks, etc.
These in-depth analyses allow us to make informed business decisions and safeguard our organisation.
Supplier adherence to our values
We prioritize supplier adherence, and we incorporate anti-slavery language into contracts with those suppliers identified as higher risk. This contract language serves as a clear statement of our zero-tolerance policy towards any form of exploitation.
Training
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks associated with modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we have engaged a firm with expertise in such matters to establish training on forced labor in global supply chains for our employees. This training will address the worldwide issue of forced labor and will educate employees on their critical role in eradicating it, including how to assess risks and spot warning signs.
Our effectiveness in combating slavery and human trafficking
During the year to March 31, 2024, we were not made aware of, nor did we discover, any issues relating to modern slavery in our organization. We will continue seeking opportunities to better align our policies, due diligence efforts and communications. Any changes will be reflected in future annual statements.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our company’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending March 2024. It was approved by the board on November 1, 2024.
